Wow, I love football!
My dad used to do some football, back when he was only 28! Wonder what he's doing right now...
Old photos or logos
My dad played in this league in 68-69, I grew up hearing all these great stories about FUN football and him getting to be on TV on Saturday mornings. I have been trying to make him a gift that had his old logo of the Richmond Rangers and stumbled across this thread. I noticed some good memories being talked about and now I’m wondering if anyone has photos of team helmets or logos of who all was in the league at that time. I am so curious and interested in whatever y’all want to share. Hope to hear from y’all.
Alief Steelers
I am a former player of this leauge from the early 90s. I played running back. Nick names,"Mad dog". "Mack Truck". Nick name given to me by one of the coaches, " White lighting" when I broke it outside the tackles for sweeps and "White Thunder" for big runs up the middle. Heald records in most yards in a season and most scored points by a single player in the Fun Foot ball leauge during that time. Last jersey number I wore was #36. We were champions.

Braeburn Bears

Braeburn Bears
I played for the braeburn Bears back in 82-84. Can't seem to find them anywhere on here, not a lot of the teams we played against. Anyone remember them, or have info on links, etc.
Alief Steelers early 90s
Just curios if anyone has videos of that time period. I played running back during that time Coach Byron was head coach I believe.
Great League
My son and I have had the best year ever in football playing in the FUN Football league. The league is well organized and shows a lot of commitment to all the kids. We played in other leagues and had less than bad experiences with how things were run. We have had none of that this year. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK FUN FOOTBALL!!!!
Great Memories On How To Be A Team Player
I played in the 1973 and 1974 seasons with the Braeburn Rangers (Green Bay Packers colors - yellow and green - with an R instead of a G on the helmet. Those were great times for an 11 and 12 year old. We had teams in the league from all over the Houston area. I remember the Conroe Cowboys and the Angleton-Brazosport Red Devils as both had to travel long distances for their games at FUN Stadium and the JV field, which was/is the large baseball field near the southwest corner of the sports complex by Bissonnet and Braeburn Street. Great memories and made some life long friends playing there as well as Little League Baseball in the same area at the Braeburn Little league playing on the Orioles in 1973 and 1974. Seems like ages ago!
